New River Community and Technical College will offer a “Heart Healthy Cooking” class designed to help community members turn healthy eating advice into delicious, everyday meals.
The eight-week class will be held Thursdays, Sept. 24 through Nov. 12, from 6–8 p.m. at New River CTC’s Nicholas County Campus in Summersville.
Participants will learn practical approaches to preparing flavorful, heart-healthy meals and gain skills they can use in their own kitchens. Fresh food will be used and sampled during each class, giving participants an opportunity to put healthy cooking techniques into practice.
The cost of the class is $100, plus a $20 materials fee to cover fresh food used and sampled during the sessions.
Space is limited. To register, contact Gloria Kincaid at 304-793-6101 or email gkincaid@newriver.edu or complete the Workforce Education Form today.
