The verification form form gives permission for the Registrar’s Office to send a letter out verifing a student’s enrollment for a specific term to the contact information the student provides on the form.
Before a letter is sent, the student must be registered in a class or classes and marked paid by the Business Office for that term. Enrollment verifications cannot be processed for a term that has not yet started; verification forms recieved early will be held until after classes for that term begins.
To request an enrollment verification letter, please print the verification form or complete the form at any of our campus locations.
If you need verification of your entire academic history or confirmation of a degree or certificate received, you will need to request a transcript instead.

Student Loan Deferment Requests
New River Community and Technical College sends a report electronically to the National Student Clearinghouse about two weeks after classes begin each semester. This information is then transmitted to the to the National Student Loan Data System for Students (NSLDS) and you will be listed on the report if you are enrolled as a paid student. This means that generally you will not need to do a paper deferment request.
If your loan servicer still needs to receive a paper copy of your deferment request, you may submit a completed deferment request to our office at that time. Please ensure that you have included the page with contact information for your loan servicer to prevent delays in processing your request.

Third Party Educational Verifications
The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) is now our authorized agent for providing degree and enrollment verifications. If you are an employer or background screening firm requesting this information please visit www.degreeverify.org. Verifications requested through DegreeVerify are generally returned to you immediately. Alternatively, the student may request a transcript instead.
