Summer welding class offered in Lewisburg

[LEWISBURG, W.Va.] New River Community and Technical College is offering a 50-hour summer welding course beginning Monday, June 4, 2018 at the college’s welding shop at 789 Houfnaggle Road, Lewisburg. The class will be offered Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

Students will learn shielded metal arc, gas metal arc and gas tungsten arc welding; along with the use of oxygen/acetylene torches and safety aspects of welding.  Personal protective equipment is required.

Tuition for the class is $300, and pre-registration for the course is required by May 30.

New River CTC’s Workforce Education Division provides employable educational opportunities including noncredit courses, workforce development programs and customized training.
