Shady Spring High School Wins Most Outstanding Cheering Section Award at 2024 New River CTC Invitational

[BEAVER, WV] – New River Community and Technical College is thrilled to congratulate Shady Spring High School on having been awarded the Most Outstanding Cheering Section at the 2024 New River CTC Invitational. As a result of this recognition, New River Community and Technical College Foundation has awarded Shady Spring High School $1000 toward project graduation, marking a significant achievement for the school community.

The New River CTC Invitational, held on January 2-6, 2024, at the Raleigh County Convention Center, brought together high schools from around the state for a week of spirited competition. Shady Spring High School’s cheering section stood out for its enthusiasm, creativity, and unwavering support for both their boys’ and girls’ teams.

In addition to Shady Spring High School’s award, the 2024 New River CTC Invitational was a resounding success, drawing large crowds and showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of student athletes from local participating schools. The event provided an opportunity for students, families, and community members to come together and learn about the accessible and quality education provided by New River Community and Technical College.
