New River Community and Technical College is pleased to announce the next ServSafe Food Protection Manager Course, scheduled for Wednesday, January 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the college’s Mercer County Campus at New Hope Road Princeton, WV 24740.

The ServSafe certification focuses on critical food safety practices, including preventing foodborne illnesses, proper personal hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, temperature control, and facility safety. With West Virginia set to adopt the 2022 FDA Food Code in 2025, regulations will require a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) on-site during all hours of operation, making this certification essential for compliance in the food service industry.

This comprehensive course will cover essential food safety practices and includes the required two-hour certification exam. Participants who successfully complete the course will earn a nationally recognized ServSafe certification, an essential credential for foodservice professionals.

The cost of the course is $200, and preregistration is required by January 6, 2025. This certification ensures compliance with food safety regulations and enhances the skills and qualifications of foodservice workers.
