Registration events planned for January at New River CTC

[BEAVER, W.Va.] Registration for spring is underway at New River Community and Technical College, and events have been planned to help students get registered for classes starting January 21, 2020.

Registration Days are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, January 6 at the Raleigh County Campus in Beaver; Tuesday, January 7 at the Nicholas County Campus in Summersville; Wednesday, January 8 at the Mercer County Campus in Princeton; and Thursday, January 9 at the Greenbrier Valley Campus in Lewisburg.

The New River CTC Foundation will be giving away a $500 scholarship to a student who initiates the registration process during one of the events. The scholarship winner will be chosen through a random drawing and announced prior to the start of the spring semester.

Admissions, faculty, financial aid and Student Success Center representatives will be on hand to assist both current and new students with the registration process, and appointments are not needed during the registration events.

The college is offering a new online certificate program in cyber security for the spring 2020 semester. New program starts will begin in January for barbering, cosmetology and an EMT-Basic class offered at the Greenbrier Valley Campus in Lewisburg.

New River CTC offers classes during the day and evening, along with hybrid and online courses.

New and readmitted students unable to attend the registration events are encouraged to contact the college’s Office of Admissions to review their status and schedule an appointment to register for spring classes. Current students needing to register for spring classes should visit their campus Student Success Center. The college will be closed for the winter holiday December 23 through January 1, 2020.
