[BEAVER, W.Va.]— New River Community and Technical College recognized its Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students during a pinning ceremony held Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Beaver campus.

The evening ceremony, led by Delta Farley, BSN, RN, CNA classroom and clinical instructor, celebrated the accomplishments of students completing their training. The tradition of pinning, rooted in the nursing field, symbolizes the transition from student to professional caregiver.

Surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and staff, the following students were recognized:

The CNA program at New River CTC equips students with the knowledge and clinical experience needed to provide essential care in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings. Enrollment is now open for the next CNA class, beginning Sept. 10 at New River CTC’s Raleigh Street location.
