New River CTC Donates Computers and STEM Supplies to Monroe County Schools

[BEAVER, WV] – In a powerful demonstration of community support, New River Community and Technical College is enhancing STEM education opportunities for students in Monroe County schools through a generous donation of computers and STEM supplies.

New River CTC donated STEM supplies to Monroe County Schools to be used by the students in the GEARUP Southern West Virginia cohort. This contribution aims to enhance students’ access to digital resources, ensuring a more robust learning environment.

Tamara Mills, Gear Up Campus Event Coordinator and Community Outreach at New River CTC expressed enthusiasm about the donation: “We are thrilled to contribute to the educational enrichment of Monroe County students. These supplies are better purposed being used every day to help students work toward achieving their goals. By providing access to modern technology and STEM materials, we hope to inspire a passion for learning and to open doors to future opportunities.”

Monroe County schools were thrilled to receive this donation and express their gratitude toward New River CTC and their mission to bettering the next generation of students.
