New River Community and Technical College Offers Forklift and Scissor Lift Training Event

[GHENT, WV] – New River Community and Technical College is excited to announce a comprehensive Forklift and Scissor Lift Training event. This event is designed to provide in-depth training on the safe operation of self-propelled elevating work platforms and counterbalanced forklifts.

Event Details:

• Date and Time: July 15-18, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (with a one-hour lunch break)

This course addresses self-propelled elevating work platforms, commonly known as scissor lifts, as well as engine and electric-powered counterbalanced forklifts with a sit-down, center-controlled, non-elevating operator position and a vertical mast. Training will cover:

• Main parts and functions

• Safety systems

• Safe operating procedures

• Pre/post-use procedures

• Classroom and practical training

This training is open to anyone interested in gaining valuable skills for operating scissor lifts and forklifts safely and efficiently. Early registration is encouraged, as spots are limited. Register by July 8th to reserve your spot!
