New River provides library services through a physical library at the Greenbrier Valley Campus and online through this web page (with links to subscription databases) as well as through membership in the Mountain Library Network.
Library services are available to all students, employees, and area residents using the Mountain Library Network (MLN) cards. If you don’t yet have an MLN card, you may obtain one at any participating library (bring ID). There is no charge for the MLN cards and the cards are valid at the New River library.
The green buttons below can be used to search New River’s online databases and other resources. The Library Fact Sheet is a 2-page summary of our services and resources and can be printed and shared freely. Library services are guided by the Advisory Committee for Library Services.
Need to borrow a book or article from another library? Complete the online Interlibrary Loan Request Form and we will borrow the book or article for you, then send it to your local New River campus so you can pick it up (or if the article is in digital format, it will be e-mailed to you). On July 1, 2022, the New River Community and Technical College library moved from the pink building to room G315 on the Greenbrier Valley Campus. We are open for business, but have an opening for a new Librarian to guide the delivery of library services for the College.
