[SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va.] New River Community and Technical College is offering Introduction to Drawing, a six-week class beginning January 23, in Summersville. The class will be held on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
Instructor Renee Rader, a certified art teacher with 13 years of full-time teaching experience, will structure the class for those at all ability levels. Each week will include both class projects/lessons and an artwork assignment as homework. The drawing class will begin with the simplest drawing techniques and advance in difficulty each week to build the artist’s skills.
The cost for the class is $75, and students are also responsible for providing their own supplies. Pre-registration is required by Friday, January 19.
New River CTC’s Workforce Education Division provides community education classes and employable educational opportunities including noncredit courses, workforce development programs and customized training.
