Learn computer basics at New River CTC

[SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va.] A four-week basic computer class is planned at New River Community and Technical College’s campus in Summersville starting October 7. The Monday evening class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.

The class will provide basic information on how to use a computer, secure files, use the Internet and set up an email account.

Tuition for the class is $75, and registration is required by September 30.

New River CTC’s Workforce Education Division provides community education classes and employable educational opportunities including noncredit courses, workforce development programs and customized training.

Additional community education classes planned in Summersville this fall include poster art sketching, applique, West Virginia ghost stories and legends, and Cricut (how to use a die-cutting machine).
