Herbal medicine and wild food foraging classes planned

Learn about herbal medicines you can make at home and wild food foraging in community education classes offered at New River Community and Technical College’s Nicholas County Campus.

The herbal medicine class is scheduled for March 23 and wild food foraging will be offered on March 30, 2022. The classes will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Both classes will be taught by a 15-year Master Gardener.

Participants in the herbal medicine class will learn about tincture or infused oil, and the wild food foraging class will provide information on trees and plants that are edible.

Tuition is $25 for each class. Registration for herbal medicine is required by March 16 and for wild food foraging by March 23.
