Get the Money You Need for College

We strive to help students finance their education through all available means – federal, state, local and institutional funds. If you need help, please contact us for assistance with your financial aid, regardless of the campus you attend.

You may also e-mail the Financial Aid Office at: finaid@newriver.edu. Financial Aid account information is provided in accordance with FERPA, to students, faculty, administration, alumni and proper agencies. Please note that under FERPA guidelines, Financial Aid can only respond with specific account information to student’s newriver.edu email accounts.

  • Complete the FAFSA: to apply for financial aid
  • Qualify for grants: Find out if you are eligible for college grants that do not require repayment. Grants can make a significant difference in financing your education. 
  • Access scholarships: Scholarships and tuition waivers are available to eligible New River Community and Technical College students.
  • Qualify for flexible loans: William D. Ford Federal Direct Loans (Direct Loans) are guaranteed federal student loan programs that include federal subsidized and not subsidized loans and the federal PLUS (parent loan) programs.
  • Earn Money: The Federal Work Study Program is self-help assistance earned on a wage per-hour basis through assigned part-time employment at on-campus or off-campus locations. An effort is made to provide each FWSP recipient with a work experience that will complement his or her academic objective.

Financial Aid Forms

Financial Aid forms can be found in the accordion to the right. To protect your information, New River CTC asks that you use SecureBox to submit your financial aid forms.

FERPA guidelines do not allow us to respond with specific account information to financial aid questions received from personal email accounts.
