Financial Aid

Our goal is to help students finance their education through all available means – federal, state, local and institutional funds. If you don’t find the answers to your questions, contact us for assistance with your financial aid, regardless of the campus where you attend. You may also e-mail the Financial Aid Office at: finaid@newriver.edu. Financial Aid account information is provided in accordance with FERPA, to students, faculty, administration, alumni and proper agencies. Please note that under FERPA guidelines, Financial Aid can only respond with specific account information to student’s newriver.edu email accounts.

Apply for Financial Aid:

The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). View our Quickstart Guide to Financial Aid for a brief walk-through. When completing your application you will need to:

Select 2021-2022 school year if you plan to attend Fall 2021 and/or Spring 2022 classes.

  • Use your 2019 tax information to complete the 2021-2022 application.
  • New River CTC’s School Code is 039603

Overview of Financial Aid

Wondering what all this talk of financial aid is? Financial aid is a grant, loan, or scholarship that is awarded on a needs basis. Some financial aid must be paid back with interest and other aid does not have to be paid back.
