Apply for Financial Aid:
The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). View our Quickstart Guide to Financial Aid for a brief walk-through. When completing your application you will need to:
Select 2020-2021 school year if you plan to attend Fall 2020 and/or Spring 2021 classes.
- Use your 2018 tax information to complete the 2020-2021 application.

Select 2020-2021 school year if you plan to attend Summer 2021 classes.
- Use your 2018 tax information to complete the 2019-2020 application.
- New River CTC’s School Code is 039603
Select 2021-2022 school year if you plan to attend Fall 2021 and/or Spring 2022 classes.
- Use your 2019 tax information to complete the 2021-2022 application.

Wondering what all this talk of financial aid is? Financial aid is a grant, loan, or scholarship that is awarded on a needs basis. Some financial aid must be paid back with interest and other aid does not have to be paid back.
