English as a Second Language class scheduled in Lewisburg

[LEWISBURG, W.Va.] New River Community and Technical College is offering a basic English class specifically for those learning English as a second language at the Greenbrier Valley Campus in Lewisburg starting Monday, March 4. The ten-week class will meet on Monday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m.

Participants will learn basic vocabulary and grammar to help them improve their communication skills in phone conversations, small talk and for survival.

Instructor Amber Sayre-Asano has more than ten years of experience teaching ESL, and comes from a multi-cultural family. She teaches English at New River CTC and has taught at WVU, Marshall University and Fairmont State University.

Tuition for the class is $100. Preregistration is required by February 25.
