How do I access the online bookstore?
The link to New River CTC’s bookstore is https://bncvirtual.com/newriver, and you’ll also find a link in the My New River portal.

What is the customer service phone number for the online bookstore?
The phone number to call the bookstore directly is 800-325-3252.

How do I find my class information to order my books?
If you do not know the CRN number for your courses, go to Self-Service Banner to access your schedule. You’ll see a link to Self-Service Banner on the header of this page. When looking up your classes, you’ll find that the bookstore uses the term “Course ID” for the CRN information.

What information do I need to use my financial aid to purchase books through the virtual bookstore?
To use financial aid to purchase books, students should use their student ID number (including the zeros) for the Student ID and the term (example: FA21 or SP22) followed by their date of birth for their Voucher ID, example: FA21ddmmyyyy. The option to use financial aid to purchase books will be disabled approximately two weeks after the start of classes.

Can I sell my books back to the bookstore?
The online bookstore offers a Guaranteed Buyback, when ordering new or used titles, students will see a savings alert of the amount they can get for selling their books back at the end of the term. Buyback will be available via the Virtual Bookstore website. A prepaid shipping label is created at the completion of online buyback so that you do not have to pay to ship the books you have sold.
