New River Community and Technical College (New River CTC) received an allocation on June 10, 2021, and June 11, 2021, from the “American Rescue Plan”, under section 314(a)(1) in the amount of $2,597,878.

New River CTC returned to the Department of Education the signed Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than $1,410,252 of the funds received under section 314(a)(1) of CRRSAA to provide financial aid grants to students.

As of September 30, 2021, $0 funds have been distributed to New River CTC students. An estimated 850 students are eligible to participate in the program.
