[SUMMERSVILLE, W.VA]A six-week advanced beekeeping class is coming to New River Community and Technical College’s Nicholas County Campus starting on February 19, 2018. Fred Williams, a local and experienced beekeeper, will lead the Monday evening class from 6 to 8 p.m.
Topics to be covered include: second spring management (diseases, parasites and pests control), summer management (removal, processing and marketing honey), fall and winter management. The course will benefit beekeepers with limited experience by teaching how to become a better beekeeper.
The cost for the class is $100, and pre-registration is required by Thursday, February 15.
New River CTC’s Workforce Education Division provides community education classes and employable educational opportunities including noncredit courses, workforce development programs and customized training.
