New River CTC Spring Break is March 10-14

[Beckley, W. Va.] New River Community and Technical College will observe spring break March 10-14.

Offices will remain open regular hours that week. However, members of the classified staff, which includes most employees in the financial aid, admissions, student services and business offices, will be off campus on March 10 attending a college-wide professional development seminar.

The New River CTC Library will be open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for students as well as the general public. The library is located on the Greenbrier Valley Campus at 301 Courtney Drive in Lewisburg, W. Va. Librarian Bob Coston noted that all library services will be available during the break.

New River Community and Technical College is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. It serves nine counties in southeastern West Virginia from five locations: Mercer County Campus (Princeton), Nicholas County Campus (Summersville), Beckley Campus, Greenbrier Valley Campus (Lewisburg) and the Advanced Technology Center (Ghent). Administrative offices are located in Beckley.

Moving Celebration

In celebration of the new Mercer County Campus, the college will be having a moving celebration outside the new location at 1001 Mercer Street in downtown Princeton on Thursday, July 31 from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on that day.  There will be lemonade and cookies as well as staff available to answer questions about plans for the campus and to assist with registering for classes.
