New River Offers Beginner’s Crochet Class in Summersville

[SUMMERSVILLE, W. VA.] New River Community and Technical College will offer a Beginner's Crochet class starting March 18 at the Nicholas County Campus in Summersville, W. Va. Teresa Gadd of Craigsville is the instructor. The class will meet from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesdays through April 8.

By the end of the four class sessions, students will have an overall knowledge of crochet and crochet supplies, will be able to demonstrate the basic stitches and read simple crochet patterns. Students will complete a round coaster, potholder and dish cloth, or a scarf, depending on their abilities and time put into the homework.

Tuition is $50, and preregistration is required, as class size is limited. Moving Celebration

In celebration of the new Mercer County Campus, the college will be having a moving celebration outside the new location at 1001 Mercer Street in downtown Princeton on Thursday, July 31 from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on that day.  There will be lemonade and cookies as well as staff available to answer questions about plans for the campus and to assist with registering for classes.
