Mercer County Campus

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the New River Community and Technical College's Mercer County Campus!  We are conveniently located in downtown Princeton, WV on Mercer Street.  We are thrilled to be part of the revitalization and growth of the area!http://princetonrenaissanceproject.org.  Located across the street from the Princeton Public Library, our campus features lecture-style classrooms, computer labs, and Interactive Video Network (IVN) classrooms.

We are pleased that you have chosen to pursue your education with us!  We will strive to provide you with a learning environment that is challenging, yet supportive of your personal interests and needs.  We want you to succeed while you are here, and equally important, we want to prepare you for your life and the world of work.

You will find our faculty, staff, and administration ready to help you through your college experience.  Small class sizes and personalized instruction will help make this journey meaningful and enjoyable.  This, coupled with an emphasis on building competencies through hands-on experience, will better prepare you to "hit the ground running" when you gain employment following graduation.

Again, we thank you for being part of the New River Community and Technical College community.

Electrical Distribution Engineering Technology, formerly known as Line Service Maintenance, draw regular attention from local employers. Our Automotive and Welding programs are regurally highlighted in the local media. Our most recent programmatic addition is, Industrial Technology (also known as Electro-Mechanical Instrumentation .) Our high placement rates are a direct result of the quality of instruction coupled with the relationship that we enjoy with our many business and industry partners. Workforce programs such as Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Heavy Equipment, and Welding are also taught at the Advanced Technology Center.

Our 93,000 square foot facility was dedicated in October 2010 and is located directly beside I-77 at the Ghent exit. For those interested in extended workforce training, we are conveniently located near several hotels and resorts. We assist our region in addressing the demands for a well-trained and educated workforce. Most importantly, we help ensure that local students and citizens have the best possible career opportunities in the new millennium.
