Paraprofessional Education CAS

The certificate program in Paraprofessional Education—developed in cooperation with other community and technical colleges in West Virginia—is designed to meet the needs of public school aides who wish to upgrade skill levels, but who do not wish to complete the associate degree program in Paraprofessional Education. In the classroom, education paraprofessionals facilitate educational instruction and provide direct or indirect supervision of students under the direction of a classroom teacher. They also provide instructional and clerical support for teachers in elementary, middle and high school settings.  For more information about this program, contact Shirley Davis at This email address is being protected from spambots.
