The first financial aid refund checks will be available on TBA. Refund checks will continue to be distributed on Thursdays (at all campuses), until all fall refunds are complete.
Checks not picked up will NOT be mailed to students unless you contact your campus Student Accounts Office requesting it.
All charges will be deducted from refunds, including any Virtual Bookstore charges, before the refund is issued. No ‘bookstore allowance’ will be automatically withheld from your refund if you do not choose to use the online bookstore.
You must be enrolled at least half-time (six hours or more) to be eligible for loans and full time for some grants, such as WV Grant and Promise. Enrollment will be checked prior to checks being available and financial aid recalculated based on new enrollment information through the end of the add/drop period on TBA. You may owe money back to New River if you reduce your enrolled hours after a refund check is issued.
