General Business: Accounting AAS

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in General Business, with an emphasis on Accounting, is career oriented and designed to provide academic training for entry-level accounting positions. It is the goal of this degree to achieve acceptance as an employment credential. Students learn to perform such duties as maintaining journals and ledgers, preparing financial statements and special reports, conducting financial analyses, preparing cost data, and summarizing financial information. Graduates might assume positions in the areas of general accounting, auditing, payroll, credit, and other specialized fields.
